A reflective short drama directed by Myles, centred on a small-town character and a single life-altering event. One of the early directing credits that established him as a filmmaker as well as a performer.

A short film written and directed by Myles, and one of the projects that marked his move from in front of the camera to behind it. Like much of his directing work, it was developed and shot independently in Western Australia.

Written, produced and directed by Myles, this outback drama follows Thomas — stranded in the middle of nowhere with a very precious cargo — who must find water and get back to camp before his secret is discovered. It premiered at CinefestOZ and went on to take Best Short Film in the English Language, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Actor (Ben Mortley) and Best Original Sound Design on the festival circuit.

Shot around Busselton and co-written with fellow McLeod’s Daughters alum Ben Mortley, Inheritance follows John Barker, a man fresh out of prison who returns to his dying grandfather and inherits an old boat, the family dog and a convict legacy. Blending live action with animation, it is a story about acceptance, resilience and forgiveness, and drew a cast including Matt Nable, Travis Jeffery and Chris Haywood.

A feature-length thriller co-written and directed by Myles, expanding his award-winning short of the same name. Set in the barren salt-lake country of Western Australia’s Murchison region, it takes the short’s premise of a man, a desert and a secret he cannot afford to have found, and stretches it to feature scale.

Myles plays Flight Lieutenant Frank Riley, the RAAF pilot who flew the ammunition resupply through monsoon rain and enemy fire to the men pinned down in the rubber plantation.

Set on the wild south-west coast of Western Australia in the 1970s, Drift follows two brothers who risk everything to launch a surf business and kick off an industry. Myles both produced the film and starred as Andy Kelly, alongside Sam Worthington and Xavier Samuel — a passion project shot in his own back yard.

Renée Webster’s warm Perth-set comedy about a woman who, on turning fifty, converts a struggling removalist crew into a cleaning service that offers rather more than housework. Myles plays Richard, in a film that put a very Western Australian spin on midlife reinvention.

A Western Australian-made World War I drama from writer-director Jordon Prince-Wright, following a young farmer who enlists for the Great War and is confronted by the brutal reality of the Western Front. Myles plays Sgt Beaufort, one of the hardened soldiers guiding the new recruits through the trenches.

A multi-award-winning crime drama set in Sydney’s Major Crime Squad, built around the friction between a Muslim detective and the force around him. Myles played John Woodhouse in the episode “The Lost Boy”.

The acclaimed outback crime series following Indigenous detective Jay Swan as he investigates disappearances in remote Australia. Myles appears as Dominic in the second season, in a show celebrated for its landscape photography and its unflinching look at frontier justice.

Australia’s longest-running serial drama, set in the coastal town of Summer Bay. Myles returned to the show in 2015 as Dr James Edmunds in a recurring run of some 42 episodes, having earlier appeared in 2007 as Dane Jordans.

The Australian naval drama following the crew of HMAS Hammersley as they patrol northern waters. Myles guested as Stuart White in the final series, across the episodes “Spoils of War” and “The Hunted”.
